Dentists

Andrew graduated as a dentist from Sheffield University in 2003. He became the principal dentist in 2007 along with Richard Staincliffe. Since taking charge, time and money has been invested in Duston Dental Practice to increase our patient capacity and to ensure we meet the highest of expectations. Andrew has a keen interest in maintaining the unique family feel of the practice and promoting continual care for all the family. He is also an active member of the local dental committee (LDC), keeping abreast of all the local dental current affairs.

Richard graduated as a dentist from Sheffield University in 2003. He is a principal dentist at the practice. Richard enjoys passing on his skills, knowledge and experience and has put this to good use in the last two years acting, along with Andrew, as a mentor and trainer to recently qualified dentists during their first year in practice.

Fiona graduated as a dentist from Newcastle University in 1999. She has been a dentist at the practice for 11 years and is held in very high regard by her patients and colleagues alike. Fiona furthers her interests and skills by attending regular courses, as do all our dentists, to promote their continual professional development.

Michael graduated from Birmingham University as a dentist in 2008. He spent 2 years working in Northampton for one of the largest dental groups in the UK gaining valuable experience in providing NHS and private dental care before coming to settle at Duston, just a stone's throw away from where he grew up. Michael has a passion for promoting prevention through patient education and motivation from an early age.

Megan graduated as a dentist from Birmingham University in 2009 having already gained a first class honours degree in Biology. Megan is another example of our home grown talent, having also grown up in Northampton and come back to her roots. She has been at Duston since she graduated and is very popular amongst her well established list of patients.

Cerys joined us with 7 years experience gained at a large, busy practice across town, where she was a popular and well known face having worked there since graduating from Sheffield in 2003. Cerys left her previous position late in 2010 to go on maternity leave. After having a happy and healthy baby, she joins us to work at the new practice at St Crispins in Duston.
Hygienist
GDC number: 1936
Having worked at Duston for over 20 years, Linda has a well established list of 'regulars' as well as patients seeing the hygienist for their first time. Linda provides cosmetic treatments such as stain removal as well as scaling and polishing and treatment of gum disease. Linda is very popular and has patients that come to see her from all over the UK.
Practice Manager
Julie has worked at DDP since 1987. She was officially made practice manager in 2007 although she has had a hand in running the administrative side of the practice for several years. Having grown up in Duston and worked at the practice for the past 23 years, Julie is a familiar and friendly face for most of our longstanding patients and also the first port of call should there be any issues you wish to discuss about your experience of the practice.
